This wine has punch! Sherbet, poached pear and lemongrass steal the nose while the concentrated palate brings grapefruit and spice. The crunchy phenolics blend beautifully with the fruit, completing the wine.
The 2017 vintage delivered perfect conditions for the ripening of the Pinot Gris grapes in the lower Yarra Valley. Cold nights and mild days allowed for ripeness and flavour to develop while maintaining natural acidity. Once crushed and pressed, the juice was naturally fermented in old oak barrels. The wine was stirred on lees for several months before being bottled in early July.
